With just 6 hours in the Port of Eden, we were able to tick all of the boxes for Loraine and Simon including native Australian animals, golden sandy beaches and a local produce picnic featuring the region’s famous oysters, cheeses, fruits and smoked meats and fish.
The luxury Silversea’s ship: The Silver Muse, looked stunning at anchor with a backdrop of Ben Boyd National Park. With Eden putting on a fine and sunny 27 degrees, our tour was off to the perfect start!
We traveled to Millingandi via the mighty South East forests to our first stop at Potoroo Palace where our ranger guide introduced our guests first hand to koalas, wallabies, reptiles, kangaroos, potoroos, an echidna and native birds.
Our next stop saw our guests pull on chest waders to gather their lunchtime oysters straight from the lake. Our hosts Pip and Dom at Merimbula Gourmet Oysters provided a full tour of their operation while I assembled the local produce picnic lunch complete with Lakes Entrance prawns, cheeses from Tilba, Bodalla and Bega and smoked meats and fish from Narooma. Fresh oysters served four ways was the menu highlight.
Our tour then wound its way back to port for photo opportunities at the stunning beaches and headlands of Merimbula and South Pambula.
Loraine and Simon from London, negotiated and reserved their VIP Private Tour via our website
Loraine sent a link to your terrific blog post and wrote how wonderful their experience was. Sounds like everything from the weather, stunning scenery, diverse animals, delicious food, and seamless logistics were spot on!
Thanks for sharing! I love what I do and the place where I live. Quality customer service is a top priority for me when I travel so I try to ensure that our guests are treated accordingly. Cheers Steve
